Commitment: We are continually improving accessibility

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Central Nexus is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

2. Conformance Level

We strive to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Our goal is to make Central Nexus accessible to all users, including those using assistive technologies.

3. Accessibility Features

3.1 Keyboard Navigation

  • All interactive elements are keyboard accessible
  • Skip links provided to jump to main content
  • Focus indicators clearly visible on all interactive elements
  • Logical tab order throughout the platform

3.2 Screen Reader Support

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy
  • ARIA labels and landmarks for navigation
  • Alt text for images and icons
  • Form labels and error messages clearly associated with inputs
  • Live regions for dynamic content updates

3.3 Visual Accessibility

  • Color contrast ratios meet WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Information conveyed through color also uses text or icons
  • Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Calm Mode available to reduce visual stimulation and animations

3.4 Content Accessibility

  • Clear, descriptive link text
  • Plain language used throughout the platform
  • Consistent navigation and layout
  • Error messages provide clear instructions for correction

4. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas have limitations we are working to address:

  • VTT 3D Tools: Some 3D visualization features may be partially keyboard accessible. We are working on improving keyboard controls and alternative views.
  • Real-time Features: Some real-time messaging and notification features may not always announce updates to screen readers immediately.
  • User-Generated Content: We cannot guarantee that all user-uploaded images have alt text or that user posts follow accessibility best practices. We encourage users to provide descriptions.

5. Compatible Assistive Technologies

Central Nexus is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Voice control software
  • Screen magnification software
