Terms of Service for Central Nexus

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Central Nexus ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Central Nexus. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration and Security

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Central Nexus in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

• Harassment, hate speech, or threats against other users
• Posting illegal, explicit, or exploitative content
• Spam, phishing, or malware distribution
• Impersonation or fraud
• Attempting to access others' accounts or platform systems
• Any activity that violates local, state, or federal laws

5. User-Generated Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to content you create and post on Central Nexus (posts, messages, VTT assets, etc.).

5.2 License to Platform

By posting content, you grant Central Nexus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

5.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Central Nexus is not liable for user-generated content and reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Central Nexus and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

7. VTT Service Description and Limitations

• Central Nexus provides virtual tabletop (VTT) tools for playing tabletop RPGs online
• We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Features may change, be added, or removed at our discretion
• We are not responsible for lost data due to service outages (please backup your campaigns)

8. Payment Terms

Central Nexus is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future:

• Pricing will be clearly displayed before purchase
• Payments are processed through PayPal or other secure payment processors
• Donations are voluntary and non-refundable
• Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 "As-Is" Service

Central Nexus is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Central Nexus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Central Nexus from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be anonymized or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the platform or other users. We will provide notice when possible, but may terminate immediately for severe violations.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
